- Art is about expression, especially self-expression. In an effort to better express ourselves as artists every artist gains the added benefit of self-realization. This is true of the visual artist, musician, dancer, calligraphist, writer, and warrior. So both the artist and the warrior are the same in that they find their true selves through the rigorous training in their art.
